1)  Tandy Leather Factory eBooks are PDF files that are designed to be opened within Adobe Acrobat Reader. Make sure you have the latest version of Adobe Acrobat Reader for your operating system. You can download the latest version, free of charge, from: http://www.adobe.com/products/acrobat/readstep2_allversions.html

2)  To Download the eBook using the download link in your confirmation email:
      PC Users: You must Right-Click the download link and choose "Save Link As..." or "Save Target As..." to save the file to a location on your computer.

      Mac Users: Simply click on the download link to save the file to your computer. If you have problems, try Option + Click and the "Save to Disk" command to save the file to your computer.

      Note:  You may also need to disable any firewall software you are running that may block access to the download.

3)  To Open the file: Open Adobe Reader. Go to File/Open on the menu and find the eBook .pdf file and click on it.

1)  When I view the PDF file, all I get is computer code gibberish. If you open the PDF file and you are only seeing a bunch of random characters/gibberish on your screen, that means that you are probably viewing the file in a word processor or some program other than the Adobe Acrobat Reader program.

Sometimes your computer may default to a word processor when it doesn't know how to properly open a file. The remedy is simple. Open the Adobe Acrobat Reader program which you installed and then open the .pdf document using the FILE/OPEN Menu selections within the Acrobat Reader program. If you open the PDF file using Adobe Acrobat Reader, it should work perfectly.

2)  After clicking "Checkout" you receive a message similar to this: "The recipient of this shopping cart link is not an approved shopping cart user. Please review your selection and try again. ". The shopping cart we use for our eBooks is Paypal. In order to complete the Paypal checkout process, your system must accept cookies. Here's how you can enable your system to accept cookies:

1) In Internet Explorer, click on Tools.
2) Click on Internet Options
3) Click on the Privacy tab
4) Click on Advanced
5) Click on the box "Override automatic cookie handling"
6) Under "First-party Cookies", click Accept.
7) Under "Third-party Cookies", click Accept.
8) Click OK
9) Click OK again
10) Close out of Internet Explorer
11) Re-open Internet Explorer and order the eBooks. You should be able to complete the checkout process using your credit card.
