Here are a couple of notes about the coloring and finishing on this project:
1) After completing the carving and before applying any color, Jim applied a coat of
Tandy Block Finish #2613 to create a consistent surface for color application.
2) For coloring, use acrylic craft paints and start at the foreground and work to the background, going from lighter tones to darker tones. Use our
Red Sable Hair Brushes #3441-03.
3) The picture was finished with an acrylic matte spray to avoid smearing or beading which might happen with a rub on finish.
